The Breckinridge home is a ranch style home with a walkout lower level. There are white oak hardwood floors, pine ceilings, wainscoting and several quilts on display. The owners have a large collection of wooden houses from places they’ve visited, a thimble collection and an organ that came from the home of Confederate General Jubal Early. Ron has a collection of antique cameras, and Linda displays her medals from her Dragon Boat racing days. A gallery shows historic family pieces and pictures from the Civil War and of relatives with ties to Presidents Jefferson and Buchanan

Helping Hands of Franklin County’s mission is to provide financial assistance to help the emergency needs of the citizens of Franklin County. Typical emergency needs include electric bill termination or overdue notices, rent or mortgage issues, heating fuel, prescription medication and other emergency needs.
In addition to emergency financial assistance we provide budget counseling to our clients and referrals to other appropriate agencies. Our volunteers provide this assistance with care and dignity to each of our clients.
